A crucially important task in proper turf lawn care and maintenance is the regular lawn mowing. Those who grew up in a house with a yard remember the wonderful fresh scent of a freshly cut lawn, and of course nothing says “a house well taken care of” than an immaculately maintained front lawn.
Grass cutting should be done once a week, never cutting more than a 1/3 of a grass blade length. Depending on the time of the year, a lawn can be let grow a bit taller or kept a bit shorter – depending on the weather fluctuations, expected peak temperatures, and of course – your personal preference.
Regular weekly grass cutting results in faster and thicker growing lawn, leaves no room for weeds to take over, and is considered to be a key practice in proper yard maintenance.
